"Frida Says I can" - 36 in x 48 in streach canvas..
Frida Says I Can is a self portrait. Frida Kahlo, is the artist who inspires me most. Having struggled with handicaps caused by Ehlers Danlos Syndrome myself, her pain an injury seem all to familiar.
Through health issues and surgeries she painted her pain, anxetiy, defeats and triumph. At times she couldn't physically go to the art studio. So they brought the art studio to her.
This is a habit I practice often. Many of my canvas are atleaset partly if not completely painted from bed.
FRIDA SAYS I CAN means, she said I could paint from bed. Even when unable to leave the bed I drag the canvas in and work. The body may be trapped but the mind flows free........
